How do I order a Tesla Model S or Model X?

 

If you have decided to order a Model S or Model X, then I would recommend ordering the car directly via the Tesla website since the online configurator website is easy and fun to use.

Here are the steps for ordering:

  1. Open the link
  2. You receive the message that you will receive free unlimited Supercharging and a $1,000 credit when you order a new Model S or Model X
  3. Select "Design your Model S" or "Design your Model X"
  4. Design/Configure your Tesla
  5. Click "Next" in the lower right corner after you have configured your car
  6. On the next page, enter your contact and payment details
  7. There is a 2,000 USD/Euro deposit required to order the Tesla
  8. After completing your order you have 2 weeks to adjust the configuration
  9. The order is active after 2 weeks or a direct finalization
  10. After a few days you will be assigned a VIN (vehicle identification number)
  11. Now you have to wait 1-4 months for your Tesla (depending on where you are in the world)
